About Me

Hello Friends and Welcome! I’m Katie and I have been teaching for over 20 years in various areas of education. I started as a teen teaching children to swim. From there I obtained a teaching degree and taught History to high school students. I stayed home with our kids when they were babies, and now I homeschool them while also offering my tutoring services to students around the world. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher – I just love helping people achieve their goals.
Since becoming a homeschooling mom, I have developed a passion for helping other moms gain confidence in homeschooling their children and providing resources for you and your children to make homeschooling fun. I realize that not all mom were teachers first. You may feel ill-equipped for this task. But let me tell you, you CAN teach your child at home.
It is my goal to offer you ideas and resources to homeschool your child. Getting started can be a challenge, but I’m here to help you. I’ve developed a short tutorial on how to get started, as well as educational resources (worksheets, packets, games, and more) to help you along the way. Every resource on this website has been used either in our homeschool or with students I’ve tutored along the way. Enjoy!
